In our school you can find classes adapted to each stage of your evolution as a surfer. From beginner level, where we work on the basics of take-off and paddling on foam, to intermediate levels with a focus on positioning and manoeuvres such as the bottom turn. For advanced surfers, classes are given in technical spots such as La Santa or San Juan, perfecting techniques such as the snap, duck dive or pumping.
All courses are run by qualified instructors and combine theory, dry practice and functional training. Surf lessons for beginners
Lanzarote is an ideal destination to take your first steps in surfing. The constant sea conditions, the volcanic sandy bottom and the safe environment make learning to surf both fun and effective.
A typical class for beginners includes theory on the beach about safety, technique and knowledge of the environment, followed by a physical warm-up, dry practice and, finally, entry into the water to work on take-off and paddling on foam. All this with certified instructors and in small groups.
The equipment used is adapted to the beginner’s level: largesoftboards to facilitate balance and comfortable wetsuits. The sessions focus on individual progression in a fun and motivating environment.

Lanzarote Surf lessons for children
For the little ones, there are surf courses for children in Lanzarote from 6 or 7 years old. The sessions are fully adapted to their age and abilities, using foam boards and suitable wetsuits. Safety is a priority: low ratio of students per instructor, presence of lifeguards and shallow areas for practice.
In addition, all instructors have specific training in child pedagogy and first aid, and classes include supervised play dynamics to maintain interest and motivation throughout the session.
Learning is fun, encouraging confidence in the water and respect for the sea.

10:00 – Theoretical classes to introduce you to the practice of surfing
10:30 – Straight into the water to start surfing
12:00 – Free time for lunch and relaxation
12:30 – Back in the water! Correction of mistakes and continue with the practice under the supervision of our instructors.
14:30 – Back to Calima Surf School and from there to the hotel.
